Personal sites New My Site experience for all portal users My Site is
a personal SharePoint site that provides personalized and customized
information. This site contains content targeted to users based on their
membership in a particular audience. My Site also provides quick access
to user’s documents, people, or Web sites, as well as personal
alerts they created to track changes to portal content. From My Site,
users can update their user profiles and share links with other portal
users.
New Documents by Me Web Part Displays a list of documents authored by
the user on the home page of My Site. This list is also displayed under
the title Documents by this User in the user’s profile.
New My Links Web Part Users can easily add links to items they find
both inside and outside the portal to the My Links list on My Site.
If these links are shared, they also appear in the user’s profile.
New My News Web Part Users see news content targeted to them on the
home page of "My Site."
Improved Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 Web Parts Users can add Inbox
and Calendar views to My Site using Web Parts for Exchange Server 5.5
and Exchange Server 2000.
New Exchange Server 2003 Web Parts Users can add inbox, calendar, and
task views to My Site using Web Parts for Exchange Server 2003.

results, you can switch to advanced search from the Search Results page.
Use Advanced Search to search by properties, to sort results by methods
other than relevance, to choose content sources, and to set other advanced
search options.
New Save search queries to My Links (on My Site) From the Search Results
page, you can add a specific search to the My Links Web Part on your
personal site. If you share the link, it shows up in the Shared Links
Web Part of your public site.
New Word breakers for new languages Word breakers for Czech, Finnish,
Hungarian, and Portuguese were added to the original set of word breakers
shipped with SharePoint Portal Server 2001, which included English,
French, Spanish, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese Traditional, and Chinese
Simplified.

User profiles New View user profiles Easily find information about people,

New Import profile data from Active Directory Easily create user profiles
by importing user data from the Active Directory. User profiles make
it easy to find people and enable the portal to target information based
on audience.
New Profile property creation, deletion, and management Add properties
to the user profile for use by integrated applications or to enable
portal users to find people more easily. Profile properties can also
be imported from Active Directory.
